Powhiri Recounts

In week 9 we welcomed ERO to our school. We started the week with a powhiri. Here some recounts of the events.

Powhiri
"Today is the day of the Powhiri". I was so excited and there were lots of speeches. We sang a song to them. At the end they touched noses. They had something to eat and had a talk.

"Yay the visitors came". The old lady said in maori "Please come" Then another lady said in Maori "We're coming". The kapa haka group sang and I think it was great.
